So just a quick post to say what I have been interested in this week from an online marketing point of view.
When people are looking for a specific website, instead of typing the domain into the URL bar of the browser, they will often type it straight into the search engine. They do this because they know most of the time the website domain they’re looking for will show up as the first result and they’ll simply have to click on it to go to the website.
The 80-20 rule is the Pareto Principle. The law states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.
This rule is cited under a host of different guises. I recently heard a lot about it at an NLP seminar I attended where a successful entrepreneur said he outsourced all the things he wasn’t great at and concentrated on the rest. His profits shot up.
