There is a great video available from Matt Cutts where he reviews a number of sites and answers questions for over an hour. Although Matt Cutts does get a hard time from some people in the SEO world, I think he always does a great job of detailing what good SEO is about. I also think his brain is a little melted from the amount of porn he has to deal with but that is another story. I have included the video at the bottom of this post for people what want to watch it. It’s one of the best overviews of SEO you will get. I have also taken the liberty to write out my notes for it. So enjoy !!!

So as reported on this site in two previous posts, Google in their infinite wisdom has decided to kill the nofollow tag. What’s more confusing is they did this (they say) a year ago without anyone really noticing. In fact a lot of the big SEO players where still shouting from the rooftops about PR sculpting. But what are the options if you have used nofollow throughout your site ?.

The interest in social media is set to increase in 2009 with Facebook growing to about 175 million users and the popularity of twitter increasing at a rapid pace with about 6 millions users now active. Companies are now rushing to get on board the social bus in order to gain maximum exposure for their brand. Most use it incorrectly, not because they don’t necessarily understand the concept but a lack of resources prevents them from spending 6 hours a day engaging in all the different touch points and they opt for short cuts.
